Collaborate

Collaborative efforts at Sikana follow two avenues.

We collaborate with our clients to determine product specifications, deliverable schedules, and best practices. This might include designing passage and item specifications, designing page layout or book templates, using online tools for creative collaboration, and training client and internal staff on the use of these tools.

We collaborate internally to refine our own best practices, as well as enhance skills and knowledge directly applicable to the needs of any given project. Our workflow encourages team members to provide constructive feedback. This has a direct, measurable impact on the success of interaction with clients and the positive reception of the client’s products in the marketplace.

Consult

Sikana brings a wealth of experience in educational publishing and general teaching knowledge to the table. Need a Grade K-2 ELL expert? We’ve got them. Need someone with recent experience developing curriculum for high school Algebra? Check. An artist or graphic designer to create images and layout that are attractive and instructive? We have just the team for that. Or perhaps you just want to pick someone’s brain about the most recent developments surrounding high-stakes assessment. Collaborative and Consulting efforts at Sikana culminate with the creation of a well-designed body of content, relevant and engaging to the end users, the instructors, and the students they serve!

We create content designed to teach and assess curriculum standards.

Individually, our writers, editors, artists, and designers have worked on a variety of projects for all of the major large-scale K-12 publishers, including Pearson, Measured Progress, ETS, ETA-Cuisenaire, National Geographic Learning, and College Board. Our materials are exclusively created by North American authors and editors, with significant experience and knowledge of current classroom practices and national trends.
